Pachmarhi is the hill station in the Hoshangadad district in Madhya Pradesh state of central India. It has been the location of a cantonment. the Madhya Pradesh Satpura range the top hill point Dhupthgadh is about 1,352 m, It is a part of Pachmarhi Biosphere Reserve. The name Pachmarhi is coming from the Hindi words Panch means five or Marhi means caves. these caves by five Pandava brothers of  Mahabharatha during Agyatwas (this means the people no idea about that place). It quickly developed into hill station and sanatorium although it was not a populated village or town at that time.

population:-The population in 1901 was 3,020 number but due to hill station the population is increasing in 2016 is 11,374
How to reach
1)By road :-the state and private buses are available from Nagpur, Bhopal, Hoshangadad, Indore, Jabalpur and some other cities to pachmarhi.the road condition is quite good of town .their are no direct flight or trains to Pachmarhi that's why visitors can complete their journey by road there are two main attraction  to visitors is khana and Pench both are national parks, some  distances from Pachmarhi

2)By air:- the Jabalpur and Bhopal rare the nearest airport to Pachmarhi the direct flights from Delhi and Indore for air visitors otherwise the connecting flights from Hyderabad, Raipur and some other cities of India. the private cab, the bus is available from the airport to Pachmarhi
3)By train:-the nearest station is Pipariya (47km)and Itarsi, visitors can boarding up to this station, the other train links from Agra, Mumbai, Kolkata, Nagpur, Jhansi, Gowaliar, Delhi, Banglore etc.

where to stay/food:- there are various hotels are available in entire town ,there is 8 Dharmashala are available ,some private guest house is available this hotel can  be booked by online or offline,there is variety of food is available from Chinese to pure Indian thali and south Indian food ,fast food is available at reasonable rates, you car hire cab  or bus for traveling the Pachmarhi spots
